Browns' Brian Hoyer Embraces Bengals' Devon Still on 'Thursday Night Football'

Tyler BrookeNov 6, 2014

The Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals were playing for an edge in the AFC North on Thursday Night Football, but that didn't mean the opponents couldn't show each other some respect.

During the game, the Bengals presented a check for over $1.3 million to benefit pediatric cancer research, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon:

The team donated the proceeds from defensive tackle Devon Still's jersey sales. Still's four-year-old daughter, Leah, has been battling cancer, but she was able to attend her first NFL game since her father debuted in the league in 2012.

The Bengals invited her onto the field when they presented the check, which will be donated to Cincinnati's Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Leah's name.

During the ceremony, Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer embraced Still in what was a heartwarming moment between players of two rival teams.

The 6-3 Browns won 24-3 over the 5-3-1 Bengals.
