Michael Vick and The Raiders: A Match Made In Heaven?

Now that Michael Vick has been granted a conditional reinstatement to the league it's time for the talk about which team will risk signing him?  Many people have talked and debated about this topic and have named teams such as the Patriots, Bills, Raiders, etc.  Basically any team that needs a star player or is thought of to have the discipline to keep him under control.  However, I feel there is really only one team that will both be willing to take the risk of bad PR as well as have the need for a star QB on their team.  And that team would, of course, be the Oakland Raiders.

Now, why the Raiders?  Other than the obvious fact that they have performed terribly since they reached the Super Bowl at the beginning of the decade.  First off, the Raiders have always stuck by their players no matter what off-field issues and trouble they have gotten themselves involved with.  They are one of the few teams that would accept the PR and not have to worry about losing much of their fan base.  What would happen if PETA came to the Coliseum to protest the game and Vick?  You would get the Raider Nation, in all their armor and costumes, to fight right back and root him on. 

Just think about the possibilities if the team had Vick on the depth chart.  With Vick, McFadden, and Bush in the backfield and DMB, Zach Miller, and a healthy Javon Walker ready for the pass?  No team could possibly battle every option that the Raiders would have at their disposal.  Their Wildcat formation would control any game they entered.  Hell, they could even put McFadden in the slot OR even have him throw the ball with Vick in the slot (not likely, but still, AWESOME!)

The Raider offense would truly be unstoppable... as long as the O-Line was able to provide some protection, finally.  Combine that with what could turn out to be a dominant defensive secondary and you could easily see the the Raiders reaching the playoffs, and if they make it there they would easily trample through the post-season and reach the Big Game.  Imagine it!
