DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi Share Broment on Bench
In a week fairly blossoming with touching teammate moments, DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi may have had the most precious encounter yet.Ā
PelicanDebrief.comās Andrew Montanye (h/t Sean Wagner-McGough of NextImpulseSports.com) posted a Vine of Cousins and Casspi engaging in some caring teamwork on the bench during the Sacramento Kingās Wednesday night destruction of the Denver Nuggets.Ā
Seeing Cousinsā headband askew, Casspi took it upon himself to restore order and straighten his teammateās signature accessory.Ā
Cousins raised his fist in appreciation. He didnāt even have to look to know it was Casspiās concerned touch lending him a much-needed hand.Ā
Of course, this type of care builds chemistry, and chemistry leads to wins. The Kings went on to stomp the Nuggets 131-109, notching their fourth straight win. Sacramento sits at 4-1 on the season, the teamās best start since 2001.
Cousins said the teamās success is founded on improved chemistry and trust, per The Sacramento Bee's Jason Jones:
Indeed, to succeed as a team, youāve got to trust that the hand nibbling at the back of your head is a helping hand, as opposed to a wet willy in waiting. The Kings have this much down pat.
