Omer Asik Injury: Updates on Pelicans Star's Calf and Return

New Orleans Pelicans center Omer Asik is dealing with a right calf strain. He did not play in the team's game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, but is expected to play against the Rockets on March 25.

Asik Expected to Play vs. Rockets

The Pelicans announced Asik is expected to return vs. Houston on March 25.

The Pelicans previously announced Asik would be questionable heading into the contest.

The Pelicans announced that Asik would not play against the Clippers after missing the team's game against the Golden State Warriors on March 20.

For the Pelicans to take the next step in the loaded Western Conference, their front line of Asik and Anthony Davis has to be healthy to carry them to a playoff berth.
