Fabian Delph,not For Sale?
Fabian Delph (pictured) is the latest hot property to come through the Leeds united academy ,which over the years has seen its fair share of world class stars walk through its doors. The likes of Harry Kewell,Aaron Lennon,James Milner ,Jonathan Woodgate and Alan Smith have all graced the greens of the Thorpe Arch training ground. But following the financial turmoil which has seen Leeds swapping the glamours of AC Milan's San siro and the semi finals of the champions league for an ominous third year in the dungeons of league one, Leeds have had to sell on all of this home grown talent to their premier league rivals. Now Fabian could be the latest having caught the eye of Everton,Fulham and Aston Villa after an unmissable first season in the first team for Leeds United.
Fulham have already seen a 6 million pound bid rejected and now Martin O' Neill's Aston Villa are set to steam in with a 7 million pound bid for the highly rated 19 year old which has now left Leeds chairman Ken Bates and manager Simon Grayson in a dilemma.Do they sell the England U-19s international to further his playing career at a higher level of football?Or do they keep him at Elland Road in hope that promotion back to the Championship is finally on the cards this season after two failed campaigns in the last 2 season's.Simon Grayson has already said he would love to keep fabian at Leeds but it may not be possible and if Leeds receive the 'right bid' Leeds may have to sell.
