Bale Starts Against Granada
Sunday, April 5
Via its official Twitter account, Real Madrid announced Bale's role against Granada:
On April 1, Sport EN noted further details about the situation:
"Real Madrid have trouble elsewhere too, with Gareth Bale a doubt for the game because of a muscle strain he sustained during Wales' 3-0 crushing of Israel.
Bale scored twice and created one goal as he enjoyed playing away from the pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He could still make the match, at 12pm CET on Sunday. Barcelona play later that evening, away at Celta Vigo at 9pm.
"
Injuries have been part of the story for Bale since he completed the high-profile switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Real. He's dealt with a couple of different muscle issues, including one that cost him some time on the sideline in October.
Bale noted how happy he was to overcome that ailment:
Real Madrid need Bale to remain healthy for the business end of the campaign since they are likely to be contending for several trophies.
