Real Madrid Fans Unveil Banner Praising Liverpool and Their Fans
Between them Liverpool and Real Madrid have won the European Cup 15 times, so there is no surprise there is mutual respect between the European giants.
And at the Bernabeu on Tuesday night, the Real fans showed their admiration for their visitors from Merseyside with a banner that read, in English: "Welcome Liverpool supporters, great clubs have great fans."
Despite losing the match 1-0, the 4,500 Liverpool fans who were lucky enough to get tickets were in splendid voice throughout the match.
