Robinson Comments on Season-Ending Injury
A day after the news broke that Allen Robinson would miss the remainder of the season, the wide receiver talked about his injury via ESPN's Michael DiRocco:
"My foot had been sore a little bit a couple weeks back. I thought it was just one of those things that was a little bit more sore this time.
I didn’t really put a ceiling or anything like that on myself. I just got out there and just tried to get better each and every day and each and every practice. I think that having camp would have kind of helped me a little bit faster early on, but the biggest thing was once I missed that I couldn’t change it so I just tried to just get in a groove and get better as fast as possible.

The Jaguars confirmed the news on their Twitter account:
"Allen Robinson (stress fracture in foot) OUT for the season. WATCH LIVE: http://t.co/HqpfecQkLR
— Jacksonville Jaguars (@Jaguars) November 11, 2014"
Robinson took to his Twitter account and thanked his fans for their support following the announcement:
"I Appreciate the support from everyone,it's going to be tough missing the rest of the season, just have to come back better than ever #GoJags
— Allen Robinson (@Thee_AR15) November 11, 2014"
Robinson injured his hamstring during training camp and missed several weeks of practice. He was not inactive for any regular-season action due to the injury, though, and has become one of the team’s more reliable targets.
The standout rookie was drafted in the second round out of Penn State and has made the slow transition to starting wide receiver. Robinson has developed a rapport with rookie quarterback Blake Bortles and was beginning to showcase his talent before the injury.
Look for Jacksonville to lean on fellow wide receivers Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts III, all of whom have had previous injury issues of their own.
Robinson's injury is a huge blow to a receiving group that is dealing with a concussion to Allen Hurns.
