TNA Impact Wrestling: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for November 5
Seven days after watching Bobby Roode defeat Lashley for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, Wednesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling will feature the new face of the company going face to face with the former title holder.
Lashley won’t take the loss to Roode without invoking his rematch clause.
As if the storyline surrounding the world championship wasn’t enough for wrestling fans, this week’s show will also feature a Knockouts Championship match between Havok and Gail Kim, the finals of the tag team tournament and a hardcore tag team match.
Here is all the vital viewing information for Wednesday’s episode of Impact Wrestling.
Where: Sands Casino, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
When: Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 9 p.m. ET (pre-taped)
Watch: Spike TV
Bobby Roode Goes Face to Face With Lashley
As TNA enters a very important stretch in the company’s history due to the ongoing television negotiations, the decision to put the world title on Roode during last week’s Impact Wrestling was the smart long-term booking move.
Lashley was an incredible champion. As the Destroyer, he ran through the top stars on the roster and reinvented himself as one of the premier athletes in the business. As great as Lashley was in his role, though, Roode has the crowd support to rally the fans at this crucial time.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Will Lashley Get a Rematch?
There is no doubt that Lashley will be accompanied to the ring by MVP and Kenny King. The smooth-talking MVP will likely invoke a rematch clause for a title shot on an upcoming episode, but this would be the perfect opportunity to continue the underlying face turn for Lashley.
TNA has been teasing dissension between the heel faction, and MVP speaking for Lashley offers the opportunity for the former champion to feel misrepresented. Wednesday’s show should feature MVP or King agreeing to a stipulation in the rematch Lashley isn’t comfortable accepting.
Hype Meter: 5 out of 5 Long-Term Storylines
The face-to-face meeting between Roode and Lashley will be entertaining television, but wrestling fans must watch the subtle nuances of this segment. With Roode likely beginning a long reign with the title, Wednesday will likely hint at what’s next for Lashley.
After eventually losing to Roode in the rematch, a feud between MVP and Lashley would be an entertaining secondary storyline.
For now, the verbal battle between Roode and MVP should be fun to watch. Add in the possible involvement of executive director Kurt Angle, and the storyline between the current and former TNA world champions is still red-hot.

Knockouts Championship, Tag Team Tournament Finals and Hardcore Madness
As great as Lashley has been in the heavyweight division, TNA Knockouts champion Havok has been booked just as strong in the women’s division. After taking the title away from Gail Kim and injuring her arm, Havok will now defend the title against the former champion.
The first match was not as good as it could have been due to the shoulder injury for Kim, but now that she is close to 100 percent, the match should be even better. Havok has only been champion for a few weeks, and letting the belt change now feels hasty.
With this storyline being one of the most entertaining women’s feuds in a long time, the hope is that Wednesday’s match ends in a disqualification. Kim could then be awarded one final shot at winning the title before eventually capturing the belt.

Question on Everybody's Mind: Which Team Will Win the Tag Team Tournament?
From a strictly wrestling point of view, there is no better match on this week’s Impact Wrestling than the tag team battle between Matt and Jeff Hardy and the team of Low Ki and Samoa Joe in the finals of the No. 1 contender’s tournament.
This is a true pick ‘em matchup.
Samoa Joe and Low Ki are two of the most skilled athletes in the wrestling business and would make fitting No. 1 contenders. The Hardys are legends in the tag team annals of history, and the ensuing battle between the four men will be must-watch television. After watching The Hardy’s fight The Wolves several times already, though, the team of Samoa Joe and Low Ki should take the victory.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Random Hardcore Matches
Wrestling is a blend of the in-ring action and the storyline behind the matches. On Wednesday, there is no story behind the tag team hardcore match between Bram and Magnus vs. Devon and Tommy Dreamer, but it should be a brutal war.
Wrestling fans who love classic hardcore matches will be satisfied as ECW legends Devon and Dreamer continue to pass the torch to the younger generation. Bram and Magnus desperately need something to make them entertaining, and becoming hardcore specialists is one way to make a mark.
This should be a brutal match, but it must be Bram and Magnus that walk away victorious.
