Arsenal Transfer News: Munir El Haddadi Hopes Boosted, Alexis Sanchez Revelation
Despite being one of the hottest teenage prodigies in Spanish football, Arsenal will make a move to bring Munir El Haddadi from Barcelona, on a short-term loan deal.
Alex Harris of the Daily Star reports Arsene Wenger will move for the starlet in January, with Barca happy to see one of their top young talents leave Spain in order to gain first-team football.
The 19-year-old has recently slipped down the pecking order since Luis Suarez's renewed availability, and it is thought Luis Enrique is keen to see the Spanish international gain minutes under his belt.

You would not normally expect Arsenal to enter into such a loan move, but the chance to use El Haddadi might tempt Wenger.
The youngster has already played 10 times for Barca this season, scoring once, per Harris. And the journalist also says Wenger is [sic] "eager to land the Spanish international on a permanent deal but Barca officials planning to raise his release clause in line with the terms in his contract."
David Wright of the Daily Express claims Chelsea are also interested in El Haddadi but that Arsenal are firm favourites to land his signature.
Wright reports that Jose Mourinho wants the player but only on a permanent deal, leaving Wenger clear to bring the Spanish international player in.

New revelations have also been reported about Alexis Sanchez's move to English football, with claims Liverpool were snubbed by the Chile superstar during transfer talks.
Thomas Jacobs of the Daily Mail writes Liverpool offered £3 million more than Arsenal for the player, but he refused to go to Anfield.
The 25-year-old has been a sensation since arriving at Arsenal, hitting 10 goals in his first 15 games, per Jacobs.
Liverpool's loss is certainly the Gunners' gain, with Reds legend Jamie Carragher admitting he was disappointed to lose out on such a talent, as quoted by Jacobs in his article: "I'm disappointed he's [Sanchez] not at Liverpool. He's looking like he's going to be a star of the Premier League."

After going head-to-head for Sanchez, the two teams will once again lock horns over a player—and this time it is Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri. Chisanga Malata of the Daily Star reports the player is the subject of interest from Wenger and Brendan Rodgers, with Tottenham also being interested in his services.
The 23-year-old is highly rated and joined Bayern in 2012, but he has failed to nail down a first-team berth with the Bavarian super club.
However, in his 75 appearances for the German champions, Shaqiri has scored a credible 16 goals from his attacking midfield role, showing he still has immense potential.
El Haddadi and Shaqiri are typical Arsenal players, both possessing incredible amounts of flair and natural ability.
But at this time, they would both be strange additions. The Gunners certainly must solve the issues in their defence—something Wenger failed to do over the past summer.
Funds should be focused on making Arsenal a more formidable unit, and these two players do not fit the bill, although either would feel at home in north London. El Haddadi has a very bright future ahead of him, but whether he would currently get in the side ahead of Sanchez and Co. is entirely debatable.
