Colin Kaepernick, Vernon Davis' Instant Fantasy Reaction Following Week 9
As the San Francisco 49ers limped to a 13-10 defeat at the hands of the St. Louis Rams, Colin Kaepernick and Vernon Davis struggled to climb out of the morass surrounding the entire team.
The 49ers were poised to at least tie the game in the fourth quarter until Kaepernick fumbled on the goal line to seal the loss. That capped off what was a disappointing Sunday for the San Francisco quarterback.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN.com's Chris Sprow perfectly captured the essence of Kaepernick's game:
Davis fared even worse than his signal-caller. Kaepernick looked his way only three times all day. The two-time Pro Bowler has now gone five games without a receiving touchdown.
| Rec. | Targets | Yards | Avg. | TD |
| 2 | 3 | 19 | 9.5 | 0 |
While his performance doesn't warrant it, Davis deserves TE1 consideration on reputation alone. Sooner or later, you have to figure he'll find the end zone again and return to something resembling his best self.
Kaepernick is also right on the fringe. He's been so up and down this season that some owners might be put off by his fantasy volatility. However, when he's on, like in Weeks 4 and 6, he can be a top-five QB.
