Colin Kaepernick Fumbles on QB Sneak in Final Seconds, 49ers Lose to Rams
Down 13-10 late in the fourth quarter, the San Francisco 49ers put together a good drive against the St. Louis Rams. However, a crucial turnover by quarterback Colin Kaepernick in the final seconds sealed his team's fate.
San Francisco drove 87 yards in just over three minutes and faced a 3rd-and-goal from the St. Louis 1-yard line with 10 seconds to go. At the very worst, the 49ers thought they'd be heading to overtime.
Incredibly, they came away with zero points on the drive.

Kaepernick tried to get into the end zone on a quarterback sneak but ended up fumbling on the play. The Rams recovered in the end zone, resulting in a touchback.
The fumble was upheld after review because the referees could not see anything that would allow them to change the call on the field, per Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
However, Kaepernick believes he should have been awarded a touchdown, per Bay Area News Group's Cam Inman.
Thanks to the turnover, St. Louis escaped with a 13-10 victory.
