Jamaal Charles, Knile Davis' Instant Fantasy Reaction Following Week 9

Timothy RappNov 2, 2014

Jamaal Charles is awesome.

For the fourth time in five games, Charles scored double-digit fantasy points on Sunday, doing so rather comfortably after scoring a first-half touchdown. Since returning from injury in Week 4, Charles has scored at least eight fantasy points in every game.

While DeMarco Murray's historical rushing pace and Arian Foster's recent hot streak get the headlines at running back, Charles has continued to be one of the safest and most productive RB1 options in fantasy football.

For that reason, a very talented player in Knile Davis only really is utilized in garbage time. He's easily fantasy's most valuable handcuff and on occasion he'll even post starter-worthy points—last week he scored 16 fantasy points in a Kansas City rout—but more often than not, his place is on your fantasy bench in the event Charles goes down to an injury.

Because as good as Davis has proven to be when he gets his touches, Charles is awesome. And awesome is hard to top.

Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than a Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning duel.
