Carvajal to Miss Liverpool Match
Pete O'Rourke of SkySports.com reports the current expectation for Dani Carvajal's status for the club's upcoming Champions League match:
Saturday, Nov. 1
While Real Madrid have had their way with Granada during Saturday's La Liga match, it hasn't been all fun and games due to the status of defender Dani Carvajal.
According to ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan, the 22-year-old right-back was forced to leave in the 38th minute with an injury:
Kieran Canning of Agence France Presse believes it to be a muscle injury, which puts the Spanish star's ability to face Liverpool in a Champions League clash on Tuesday in question:
Carvajal was replaced by the capable Alvaro Arbeloa Saturday, who is a veteran of both Los Blancos and the Spanish national team.
He should be able to fill in admirably if Carvajal is forced to miss some time, but there is no doubt that it negatively impacts Real Madrid's depth.
