Could the Atlanta Hawks Trade for Amare Stoudemire?
If the Atlanta Hawks could make a move to get Amare Stoudemire, it would do wonders.
The Hawks would have to give up Josh Smith and Marvin Williams, but it wouldn’t be a terrible loss. Smith is inconsistent and is constantly causing a mess with head coach Mike Woodson or his Hawk teammates.
Offer Smith and sign-and-trade Williams and throw in a future first-round pick, and I think this deal could happen.
Stoudemire would play center, and big Al Horford could move to power forward, his natural position.
Mo Evans would play small forward. The Hawks had a great record last season when Evans started. He gave the Hawks a great push when he was on the floor; he could cause defensive nightmares for players and drain huge threes.
With Jamal Crawford, Zaza Pachulia, and Jeff Teague coming off the bench, along with Solomon Jones, who needs to be re-signed, the Hawks would be serious contenders.
