Pakistan vs. Australia, 2nd Test, Day 5: Highlights, Scorecard and Report

Pakistan sealed a 2-0 Test series victory over Australia on the final day in Abu Dhabi.

The tourists lost their last five wickets for eight runs as Pakistan won the second Test at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium by 356 runs.

Pakistan now move to third in the world Test rankings after bowling out the Aussies for 246 in their second innings.

Australia resumed on 143-4, chasing a nominal 603 to win the match. Steve Smith and Mitchell Marsh added a further 65 runs before the first wicket fell.

Marsh was caught for 47 at leg slip off Mohammad Hafeez, but the Baggy Greens went to lunch at 238-5.

They capitulated once Smith fell three runs short of his century, trapped lbw by Yasir Shah.

Only 43 balls later, the match was over.

Spinners Shah and Zulfiqar Babar picked up two wickets apiece, with the latter finishing with 5-120.

Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq was named the Man of the Match after scoring a century in both innings.

He spoke after the match, per The West Australian:

"

It's really an honour for me to lead this side, the way everybody played. Every individual performed and I'm really happy about that. I can't describe my feeling. We were working really hard and playing good cricket but not winning, so it's really good.

"

Australia captain Michael Clarke noted that his side were outplayed:

"

They played outstanding cricket in both Tests and we have been outplayed, unfortunately. It's been the track record of Australian cricket [in Asia] for a long time, unfortunately.
