Stephen Keshi Reportedly Reinstated by Nigeria: Latest Details and Reaction

Confusion reigns over the Nigeria national football team as reports suggest Stephen Keshi has been reinstated as the Super Eagles boss.

Oluwashina Okeleji of BBC World Service reported an alleged change of heart from the nation's FA:

Keshi was sacked in mid-October after the team won just twice during his last 11 matches in charge, per Soccerway.

Despite leading the side to the knockout stages of the 2014 World Cup, poor form and public spats with important players such as Emmanuel Emenike, Peter Odemwingie and Ikechukwu Uche saw Keshi fall heavily out of favour.

Since his sacking, Keshi admitted he would like to manage Ghana, who recently parted ways with Kwesi Appiah. "Of course, yes I will like to manage the team," said Keshi, per Accra-based Happy FM and via Muftawu Abdulai Nabila of Goal.com. "Ghana is going to be like my baby."

Reports of Keshi's alleged reinstatement to the Nigeria hot seat changes this and is unlikely to help many of the side's players feel like they have been afforded a fresh start.
