NFL Injury Report Week 9: Team-by-Team Updates, Inactive List and More

The 2014 NFL regular season has been filled with unpredictable moments and devastating injuries, and football fans are once again looking at the latest injury reports to check the status of their favorite players.

As if injuries to top stars like Tony Romo and A.J. Green weren’t enough, the fact that six teams are on bye in Week 9 has fantasy owners legitimately concerned about which players they will be able to start this week.

Here is the latest news, status updates and team-by-team inactives for Week 9.

Tony Romo, QB, Dallas Cowboys

Status: Inactive

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo injured his back in Week 8 against Washington, and he will not play on Sunday against Arizona as he is listed on the team's official inactive list.

A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Status: Active

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has missed several weeks of action, but the talented player is not on the team's inactive list and will play Sunday against Jacksonville.

Ryan Mathews, RB, San Diego Chargers

Status: Inactive

San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews has missed six weeks of action while recovering from an MCL sprain, but he is not ready to return just yet. He is on the team's official inactive list and will not play Sunday.

Reggie Wayne, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Status: Questionable

After missing Week 8 with an elbow injury, the coaching staff for the Indianapolis Colts is hopeful wide receiver Reggie Wayne can play in Week 9 on Monday night against the New York Giants. According to Kevin Bowen of Colts.com, Wayne is probable to play.

Darren Sproles, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Status: Active

After missing time with an MCL sprain, Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles returned to practice this week and is not on the team's inactive list.
