WWE SmackDown Spoilers: Complete Results and Analysis for October 31

Erik BeastonOct 28, 2014

It is All Hallows' Eve this Friday night, and World Wrestling Entertainment celebrates with a very special Halloween-themed episode of SmackDown.

The Corporate Demon, Kane, will be in action on the spookiest night of the year as he attempts to avenge his loss to WWE Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler from Monday's Raw in a non-title rematch.

What pain, punishment and torture can the company's resident Showoff expect from the Big Red Monster when they take to the ring? More importantly, what will The Authority have in store for Ziggler, who showed them up on Raw by apparently agreeing to join Team Cena at the Survivor Series?

WWE's Divas will take center stage when they meet in what has become somewhat of a Halloween tradition: a Costume Battle Royal. Paige, AJ Lee, and the Bella Twins are sure to have the highest profile in the match, but could another woman, perhaps Alicia Fox, emerge as a surprise winner?

On the heels of Mark Henry's vile attack on Big Show, the two mammoth former world champions are likely to have words, if not more, for each other. What will go down when they are in the same arena for this week's broadcast?

The fans will get their answers when WWE's Friday night staple hits the SyFy airwaves. Can't wait? Find out what goes down on this week's show, courtesy of our friends at WrestlingInc.com!

Analysis

WWE has a long and storied history of delivering immensely fun holiday episodes of Raw and SmackDown, and this week's Friday night broadcast looks to continue that tradition.

The Dean Ambrose-Cesaro main event may be a dubbed a Trick-or-Street Fight, but it plays on the events of Raw and Ambrose's assault of the Swiss Superman. The outcome is really no surprise, but if their previous bouts are any indication, fans should expect a quality, entertaining match that continues to highlight the Lunatic Fringe.

Big Show and Mark Henry's confrontation sounds rather tame, outside of the barricade bump, but even that is a repeat of similar angles that have taken place over the last two years.

After watching the two behemoths wrestle each other countless times in the past, with varied degrees of success, it is imperative that WWE Creative gives fans something more than a barricade bump to keep them interested.

Dolph Ziggler siding with John Cena on Monday night may have been a great step for him professionally, but physically, it may have been the dumbest move of his career. Friday night, he pays, courtesy of The Authority, who take turns using him as a punching bag.

It should be interesting to see which other Superstars choose Team Cena and what repercussions await them in the weeks leading into Survivor Series.

Los Matadores? Really?

Finally, after defeated sister Brie at Hell in a Cell, Nikki Bella seemingly turns her attention to Divas champion AJ Lee, who sits in on commentary for the Divas Costume Battle Royal Friday night. A feud between AJ and the Bellas has been done, as recently as a year ago, but the dynamic is different now and could lead to some entertaining storytelling at the very least.
