Mario Balotelli may not have broken his scoring duck in Premier League play, but the Italian striker scored his second goal for Liverpool on Tuesday against Swansea in the League Cup—in vital circumstances.
The goal came in the 85th minute as the controversial striker headed in a perfect Fabio Borini cross from six yards. It cancelled out Swansea's opener from the 65th minute to make the score 1-1.

In the second minute of injury time, Swansea's Federico Fernandez was controversially sent off for a lunge on Philippe Coutinho.
The man advantage appeared to give Liverpool belief that they could close out the game before it went to extra time, which is exactly what happened when Dejan Lovren headed in a free-kick in the 95th minute.
Liverpool will now progress to the League Cup semi-finals.
