Bobrovsky Speaks on His Recovery
Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch provides Bobrosky's comments:
"On Bobrovsky’s left hand is a custom-made splint to protect the healing index finger, but he said it still radiates pain when he catches even a routine shot the wrong way.
'It gets better every day,' Bobrovsky said. 'It’s just a matter of time for it to be OK. I can play through some of this (pain), but I need to be 100 percent confident in my game to go out there.'Bobrovsky will miss a game tonight at the Washington Capitals and seems likely to miss games this weekend against Philadelphia and San Jose. The Blue Jackets are 4-4-0 with Bobrovsky and 0-5-1 when Curtis McElhinney and Anton Forsberg play.

Sergei Bobrovsky Injures Finger
Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has arguably been the Columbus Blue Jackets' most integral player over the past couple seasons, but they will have to soldier on without him during the immediate future.
According to the team's official website, Bobrovsky has been placed on injured reserve after suffering a fractured finger in practice, and he is expected to miss anywhere from one to two weeks.
Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards later spoke about Bobrovsky's status, via the team's Twitter account:
While "Bob" is out of action, backup Curtis McElhinney is expected to carry the load, per Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch:
The Jackets' season has gotten off to an uneven start as they sit 4-4, and being without the 2013 Vezina Trophy winner won't make things any easier.
Bobrovsky's injury could have been far more serious, though, so Blue Jackets fans are likely thanking their luck stars that it will only be a short-term absence.
