Manchester City Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of October 27
Another week, another round of transfer rumours.
Manchester City are never far away from the football gossip columns, and with the January transfer window edging ever closer, it's likely there will be increased column inches between now and then.
With City finding themselves six points behind Chelsea after defeat at West Ham on Saturday, interest in a January signing may well be accelerated.
There is also the small matter of player exits, with a few on the fringes of the first team likely to be trying to engineer moves away.
Here's this week's news and rumours tracker.
Everton Insist Barkley Has No Buyout Clause
1 of 1
City's pursuit of Ross Barkley continues to dominate the headlines, with Simon Mullock writing in the Daily Mirror that no buyout clause in the player's contract exists.
City are said to have launched a bid in the summer, only to have been deterred by Everton's £50 million asking price. The club's interest remains strong, though, and further offers are expected.
Everton boss Roberto Martinez has claimed there is no buyout clause, and with Barkley having signed a new four-year deal recently, he feels confident of keeping his star midfielder.
The 20-year-old returned from an injury layoff last week and has impressed already, immediately reasserting himself as the hub of Everton's creativity.
