Bayern Munich Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of October 27
Bayern Munich come into this new week with a spot of bother, having dropped points to Gladbach on Sunday night.
Although there was no shame in taking a point from the Foals, some Bayern fans will be concerned with the nature of the draw. Gladbach could well have deserved all three points.
Nevertheless, onwards and upwards Pep Guardiola’s side go with the return of the DFB Pokal this week, which sees them face a tough showdown with Hamburg before a league match against Borussia Dortmund next weekend.
No rest for the wicked.

Tomasz Kuszczak to Bayern
1 of 2
A bit of tiding up at the back could see Bayern pick up former Manchester United player and current free agent Tomasz Kuszczak as a last-minute reserve goalkeeper to tackle the club’s current injury scare in the position.
The 32-year-old is supposedly wanted by Guardiola after Pepe Reina and Thomas Starke picked up long-term injuries over the course of the past few weeks.
Per Simon Jones in the Daily Mail on Monday, October 25:
"The 32-year-old free agent is wanted by Pep Guardiola after reserve keeper Pepe Reina suffered a calf injury while third choice Thomas Starke is also facing an operation on his right elbow.
Bayern were keen on Victor Valdes but the 32-year-old has opted to speak to Manchester United where his fitness and recovery from posterior knee ligament surgery is being assessed over the next few days.

Robben Staying Put

Bayern fans may be disappointed with Sunday’s league draw with Gladbach, but they’ll be able to take confidence from recent news that star player Arjen Robben has no intention of leaving the club any time soon.
Speaking to Mark Ogden in the Daily Telegraph on Thursday, October 23, Robben stated:
"I am 30 now, it is not like I want to go to a new league. I have been in England, I have been in Spain, so I don’t have that desire, but that is all to do with the club I am with now. I am 100 per cent convinced I will stay here for a very long time.
"
As one of the most notable players at the club this season, fans and Guardiola alike will be pleased to note that the Dutchman has his eyes set on more Bavarian success.
