Liverpool Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of October 27

Matt LadsonOct 27, 2014

A third game in a week, with three more in seven days starting with a League Cup tie against Swansea City on Tuesday night, represents a busy time for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.

The Reds boss will be busy preparing his team for this run of fixtures, but the media are busy, as ever, preparing stories linking players to and from Anfield.

With Rodgers' side desperately short of goals, they will inevitably be linked with numerous forwards between now and the winter window opening.

This weekend saw Rodgers' team fail to score, while summer transfer targets Alexis Sanchez, Wilfried Bony and Samuel Eto'o scored two each for their respective new sides.

Here are the latest LFC transfer rumours.

Saido Berahino

Liverpool have been linked with West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino in the Daily Mail.

The in-form 21-year-old scored again on Saturday from the penalty spot to save a point for the Baggies against Crystal Palace. He now has seven for the season.

The report claims WBA would want close to £25 million for the Burundi-born forward, with Tottenham (of course) also interested.

Glen Johnson Free to Leave

2 of 2

Glen Johnson has been told he can find a new club, according to Goal.com.

After returning to the side against QPR and Real Madrid, the Englishman was replaced by Javier Manquillo for Saturday's match against Hull City at Anfield.

Johnson being allowed to leave would come as no surprise, considering his contract is up next summer, his exorbitant wages and declining age and form.

The report claims Galatasaray are among a number of clubs interested in the former Chelsea right-back.
