Cristiano Ronaldo Golden Shoe Ceremony Date Announced
Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo is set to receive his third Golden Shoe award of a glittering career on Thursday, Nov. 6 after top-scoring in European league football in the 2013-14 season.
He shares the award with Luis Suarez after both scored 31 league goals last term, the Uruguayan's haul coming for Liverpool in the Premier League.
However, while Suarez has already been presented with the gong—by former boss Kenny Dalglish—Ronaldo chose not to be a part of that ceremony with the new Barcelona man, per Tom Conn of Inside Spanish Football:

He will instead be presented the award early next month having previously claimed it with Madrid in 2010-11 and Manchester United in 2007-08.
According to Conn's report, this is only the second time in its history that the award has been shared, with Thierry Henry and Diego Forlan both winning in 2004-05 as they scored 25 goals for Arsenal and Villarreal respectively.
Ronaldo is well on his way to bagging another Golden Shoe at the end of the current season. Although still only in the early stages of the La Liga term, he has already scored 16 times in eight league matches, per WhoScored.com.
Most recently he bagged the equalising penalty against Barcelona at the Bernabeu on Saturday, per Futbol Life, before Karim Benzema and Pepe bagged the goals which handed Real victory and moved them to within a point of their table-topping rivals:

Currently only Evgeny Kabaev of Estonian side Sillamae Kalev has more league goals in Europe than Ronaldo—the Russian having scored 33 times per Manu Sainz in AS—but the Meistriliiga season is 34 games old already.
Thus Ronaldo has plenty of time to catch Kabaev and, as Bleacher Report UK illustrates, the 29-year-old has rarely, if ever, been in better form:
His closest competitors in the top five European leagues so far this season are Chelsea's Diego Costa, Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Barca's Neymar, all of whom have nine goals, per UEFA.
Ronaldo will likely find the net again in Real's next league game against Granada and receiving last season's award next month will only spur him on to bag the gong once again at the end of 2014-15.
