News Flash, Bob Bradley: Second Place is Unacceptable

This must go down as one of the most unforgivable efforts this season since giving up the rally to Brazil.

Do you even realize how much of a negative impact this will have on your reputation, Mr. Bob Bradley?

Think about it. A 5-0 defeat to Mexico? And we are facing this high flying team at the Azteca Stadium in 18 days' time, and your guys could not get the job done today?

Not only that, but they got thumped. 5-0! Five goals to nil!

Have mercy, Miss Percy, the Socceroos would beat this team you brought out onto the field.

And just rubbing salt to the gaping wounds of American pride, one of your players-Jay Heaps, who lost his stripes today-got sent off.

I can live with finishing runner-up at the Confederations Cup in South Africa, but finishing runner-up at Giants' Stadium in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup final?

And don't give me that half-arsed excuse that, "Oh we weren't even fielding our best team today."

You understand that our home-field advantage ended on this Sunday Bloody Sunday in the worst fashion possible, am I right?

You'd better be nodding your head as you read this article.

Seriously. 58 straight games before this happened.

You also understand that the Azteca will be looking to help El Tri make it two in a row against your side, correct?

Cue the nodding head again. None of your players deserved to be on that pitch today. In the words of Lee Corso, "that deserves a major league YO."

You are on a dangerous path, Bradley, take it from yours truly. This embarrassing, unforgivable performance must be avenged immediately. 

Another defeat of this magnitude at the Azteca Stadium and you will have lost the right to manage our National Team.

In fact, if I was Sunil Gulati, and I decided to keep you after we get whipped by Giovanni dos Santos and company two straight times, you can declare me a vegetable if I made such a decision.

Sam's Army wants your head. The people at BigSoccer want you gone. All over the American association football circles, the word is out: they want you SACKED.

Of course there are some in the circles who have the delusion that this defeat is only realized because we fielded our "C-side." They have their heads stuck in the clouds. 

The majority of the American sporting public aren't idiots: they know a blowout when they see one. And when the USA is in the losing end of the stick, they can get pretty nasty.
