Cam Newton, Greg Olsen, Kelvin Benjamin's Post-Week 8 Fantasy Reaction
Cam Newton is a QB2.
The words seem strange to type, or to even consider, yet this season he's barely resembled the player who has finished as a top-five fantasy producer at quarterback three years in a row. With Sunday's dismal four-point performance, Newton has now scored 15 or more fantasy points just twice in seven games.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Sure, he's scored 14 points twice for owners, but even that is a pretty mediocre return. Add in the game he missed to start the season, and Newton has been arguably fantasy's biggest bust this season.
On Sunday, the ship went down with Newton. Greg Olsen—fantasy's most consistent tight end this season—barely factored into the game against Seattle at all, though Kelvin Benjamin did have another nice game.

Newton's disappointing fantasy season generally hasn't hurt Olsen or Benjamin. Both players have scored seven or more fantasy points in six of eight games, making them weekly starters.
But Newton?
It's crazy to say it, but he can't be considered a weekly starter at this point. He's still a high-end QB2, so play your matchups wisely, but don't assume Newton will perform for your fantasy team on a weekly basis, either.
Hit me up on Twitter—I'll answer your fantasy questions and make some corny jokes, too. It's more fun than a game of eggball in London.
