Steve Smith, Joe Flacco's Updated Fantasy Value After Torrey Smith's Injury
The Baltimore Ravens received some bad news during their AFC North clash with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. The team's official Twitter account reported the status of wide receiver Torrey Smith midway through the third quarter of action:
Smith's absence will have severe fantasy implications for quarterback Joe Flacco and wide receiver Steve Smith going forward—especially if he's forced to miss a significant amount of time. Here's how both players fared on Sunday:

Flacco struggled to get Baltimore's aerial attack going in Cincinnati on Sunday, throwing two interceptions within the first three quarters. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports tweeted his take on the quarterback's play:
The signal-caller is in the midst of another roller-coaster season, with some stellar performances mixed in with some forgettable outings. Flacco may not be a top-tier option at quarterback due to his inconsistency, but he should be viewed as a worthy QB2 with a high ceiling against softer secondaries going forward.
Smith, a former Carolina Panther, is flourishing in his first year in Baltimore. He continues to be Flacco's most targeted weapon, and with his counterpart out of commission for an undisclosed period of time, we can expect those targets to increase.
Consider this pass-catcher as a solid WR1, as he's already accumulated four 100-yard performances this season and shows no signs of slowing down.
