Hockey Coach Yells 'F--k You' at Reporter, Continues Answering Questions
Sometimes you need to vent some steam and move on with your day. Paul Fixter opted to check this box during a postgame presser.
After watching his team suffer their 10th straight loss in the Ontario Hockey League on Tuesday night, the Sudbury Wolves coach snapped at a reporter who dared to match his decibel level during an interview.
For The Win’s Mike Foss spotted video of the moment, which came in the aftermath of a 7-2 drubbing at the hands of the Soo Greyhounds.

Fixter’s anger boiled over when a reporter made a comment regarding the team’s work ethic.
“What’s the question?” Fixter yelled.
The reporter loudly responded, “Did [the team] work hard?”
Things immediately ran off the rails.
Like a dog owner applying a rolled newspaper, Fixter barked expletives at the journalist and reproached him for raising his voice.
“F--k you!” Fixter yelled. “Don’t f-----g talk to me like that!”
If Fixter’s logic sounds familiar, it’s probably because you’ve heard it before.
Fixter has the conch. He gets to yell.
Surprisingly, the interview commenced amicably after the surly exchange—or at least as amicably as a dialogue can go once one party has told the other to go fornicate with themselves.
Fixter issued an apology Wednesday, via the Wolves team website.
"I apologize for my use of profanity after last evening’s loss to the Greyhounds. I could have chosen my words more carefully, however, I stand by my players, the organization and the fans of the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club. The coaching staff is a passionate group and we feel the stress of losing. We are working diligently to strive to improve our record and make the fans of the Sudbury Wolves proud.
"
It’s all about passion, guys. You can’t lie down on the ice and you can’t lie down during an interview—especially when the reporter says your team played hard out there.
