Rupert Fryer of Brasil Global Tour notes Canarinho head coach Dunga will speak with the center back about the decision to move forward with Neymar wearing the armband:
Silva missed time for both club and country with a hamstring injury. He hasn't played for Brazil since the World Cup over the summer, where the side fell short of sky-high expectations. He just recently returned to action for PSG.
The switch from Silva to Neymar as the captain is a changing of the guard. The 30-year-old should remain a stalwart and a leader within the squad, but it's Neymar's team now, and Dunga apparently wants him to take charge as such during the next cycle.
