Projecting the WWE Futures of Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are two Superstars on the rise in WWE. While they appear to be completely different, they are similar in that they both surely want to contribute to the company in a very big way.
They are forever linked thanks to their time together in The Shield, perhaps the most dominant faction in company history. And as they begin their solo careers, many fans are asking just what the future holds for them.
When the time came for The Hounds of Justice to go their separate ways, many fans likely began debating this issue even then. It was back on June 2 when Seth Rollins betrayed his Shield teammates and left them for dead in the middle of the ring on Raw.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
That night saw the man referred to as the Architect of The Shield demolish his creation with the whole world watching. While it was very surprising, it was surely not all that unexpected. The Shield had to end, and it had to come from within.
The three Superstars never backed down from any threat put in front of them, and they conquered nearly everyone who dared to oppose them. They ran through WWE like a runaway freight train for almost two years and did so with both style and aggression.

The trio was in control at all times, and no one could hope to even slow them down. The only conceivable way for them to end was due to internal strife. That strife began with Rollins, and now all three men are headed in separate directions.
For Ambrose and Reigns, however, their roads will likely forever be intertwined. But why is that exactly?
Ambrose's career is really taking off right now. The Lunatic Fringe has been receiving more and more spotlight recently and has now become one of the regularly featured performers in Vince McMahon's company.
Every week brings a crazier event, a more insane moment in the ongoing saga of Ambrose. He is so unpredictable and so bizarre at times that no one can really know what's in his head. Ambrose is in his own little world, and in that world, he's the only one who truly knows what he's doing.
He is such a natural on the mic and is so at home in front of the camera. He was born to be a WWE Superstar.
Ambrose is unpredictable and unhinged, which makes him a captivating character. He is also very good in the ring, which makes him a force to be reckoned with in the locker room. Ambrose has all the tools necessary to succeed in a very big way.
Reigns is of course out of action right now, but before he left, he was believed by many to be the next top guy. Heir apparent to John Cena is not a title that has been claimed by many young stars, but Reigns is one guy who perhaps should grab it and run with it.
Reigns is the quintessential WWE Superstar. He's big, physically powerful and very intense. He has an extremely marketable look and has the pedigree of the Anoa'i family behind him. The Rock has paved the way for Reigns, and it could very well be that one day fans are talking about the former Shield strongman in the same breath as his electrifying cousin.
Reigns' ability in the ring may not be on par with that of Ambrose, but he has arguably improved since debuting on the main roster. In a company full of talented workers, Reigns had many opportunities to not only look good but also improve at the same time.

But since he was forced out of action due to surgery, Reigns has no longer been the hot topic of discussion—Ambrose has. Now, many fans are talking about the very real possibility that it will be Ambrose elevated to the top of the company instead of Reigns.
Is that what the future holds for Ambrose? Or will Reigns' eventual return bring a new main event star in above Ambrose?
Fans of each man may be just as happy with a compromise. Could we see Reigns and Ambrose as the close first and second top guys in the company? Is it possible that Reigns could be The Rock of his generation, with Ambrose taking on the role of Stone Cold Steve Austin?
While it's impossible to duplicate the success of Austin and Rocky, Ambrose and Reigns may be the closest thing that fans have to that caliber of talent. And if that is the case, then Ambrose could be the top guy just as easily as Reigns. In fact, there is every possibility fans could see both men trading back and forth for the top spot in the company.
The same was true of Austin and The Rock during the Attitude Era. The same could happen now, and if it does, then both men win.
Both Reigns and Ambrose have great opportunities to succeed in WWE. Ambrose is getting hot at the right time, and when Reigns returns, it will be one more main event star added to the mix. He could competitively challenge Ambrose, something fans would greatly appreciate.
The future of WWE is in good hands, and the only question is: Which man will get there first?
