Mario Balotelli Swaps Shirt with Pepe at Half-Time, Gets Substituted

Liverpool finished the first 45 minutes of their clash with Real Madrid 3-0 down and effectively out of the Champions League match. 

The mood in the Reds dressing room must have been tense—particularly when Mario Balotelli walked in holding Pepe's shirt, which he had exchanged with the defender prior to going down the tunnel.

The odious modern football practise of half-time shirt-swapping didn't go down too well with fans on social media—and it did not sit well with manager Brendan Rodgers, either. 

Rodgers subbed Balotelli at half-time, although he admitted he did not know about the shirt swap at the time. 

Nevertheless, the Northern Irishman was not impressed when he heard about it.
