Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro guard Evan Mathis appears to be recovering quite well from the medial collateral ligament injury he suffered in Week 1. Barring a setback, he should be able to return to action when he's eligible to play on Nov. 10.

According to Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com, "Mathis practiced for the first time since injuring his MCL against the [Jacksonville] Jaguars in the opener."

However, as McManus noted, Mathis cannot return to action until Nov. 10, as the team placed him on the injured reserve with a designation to return list.

Mathis spoke about precautions he'll take upon his return, via Ed Kracz of Calkins Media:

His eventual return to the Eagles will be huge, as the team has desperately missed both Mathis and star center Jason Kelce. The return of those two players should help reinvigorate a running game that was the NFL's best a season ago but has sputtered along at times this season with the pair injured.
