When The UFC Rules The World...
There is much speculation now with the dismantling of Affliction, as to what the future might hold for the UFC. Well , one scenario that could occur might go something like this:
1. Dec. 2009
The UFC announces it has purchased all of the contracts formerly held by Affliction.
2. April 2010
Fedor claims the UFC Heavyweight Belt. Lesnars next fight is a rubber match with Mir followed by a Lesnar vs. Couture 2.
3. July 2010
The UFC announces The Ultimate Fighter, Mexico. Heath Herring and Brock Lesnar will be the coaches during the flyweight centered season. Following the finally, Brock will beat Heath Herring and win a title shot against Fedor.
4. Jan. 2011
Fedor defeats Lesnar in his first title defense. Lesnar drops to the bottom again where he defeats Kimbo Slice which earns him a shot at Heath Herring to decide who will fight Fedor for the Belt.
In addition the UFC announces the purchase of Dream which has been renamed UFC DREAM. Sengoku and Shooto are both dismantled and also turned into clothing sponsors for the new UFC DREAM production. The UFC will also announce the purchase of Strikeforce and all of the fighter contracts held by that organization. Strikeforce is dismantled and turned into a clothing sponsor for the UFC.
5. Feb. 2011
The UFC announce it has cut some fighters from both the UFC and the UFC DREAM rosters.
500 fighters are released and their careers ended because they are considered unfit for the UFC.
Hong Man Choi and Zuluzhino open a Big and Tall men’s clothing store and become stinking rich.
So there you have it. The evolution of MMA and its outcome.
The UFC will want an organization that is overseas. They may even open up UFC EUROPE by then.
It is necessary in order to profit from those markets. Its not in the UFC’s interest to see all of the Asian orgs fail. It IS in their interest that most of them do and they are able to snatch everything up eventually owning it all. They will employ some of the same managers that set up the shows now but they will have control and will make the rules.
Because the UFC is so win oriented, many fighters that are out there today just will not make the cut and will have nowhere to go. Even armature fighting will eventually be controlled by them.
Then they will announce the purchase of Starbucks and McDonalds……
