The roster for this year’s game looks incredible. When talking about the additions for this year, though, the conversation begins with Sting. The former NWA, WCW and TNA champion is one of the biggest stars in wrestling history to never grace the WWE stage.
For those who purchase the game and get the two downloadable Sting characters (black-and-white face paint and surfer style), imagining and playing out the possible feuds between the legend and the current roster will make for hours of entertainment.
Sting vs. The Undertaker alone is several hours of matches for hardcore fans.
Another noteworthy addition to the roster is CM Punk. Despite quitting the WWE after the Royal Rumble earlier this year, Punk is included in the game as part of the 2K Showcase mode. Fans who have missed the Straight Edge Superstar can now relive his greatest moments or create the storylines many wished they would have seen while he was still employed.
If Sting and Punk are not your cup of tea, the entire Wyatt Family has been added to the game as well. Whether you like Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper or Erick Rowan the most, wrestling fans will get to utilize one of the most powerful trios in recent memory.
With a genuine excitement about the return of The Wyatt Family to WWE programming, it’s the perfect time to advertise the addition of all three members to the roster. When playing the game, fans will be able to Follow the Buzzards.
Latest Next-Gen Console News
The biggest piece of news for gamers looking to purchase WWE 2K15 on the next-gen consoles is the addition of MyCareer mode. Those who have played the NBA 2K series understand the possibilities associated with a career mode, and 2K Sports applies the same ideology to the WWE 2K series.
Fans will be able to start out at the WWE Performance Center and work their way up to NXT. Once gamers have accomplished each achievement, they will advance to the main roster with the ultimate goal of winning the championship at WrestleMania. The all-encompassing mode should have hardcore wrestling fans ready for the experience.
Another huge upgrade is the visual presentation. Using the NBA 2K14 model, 2K Sports scanned the faces of the top Superstars to create the most authentic experience in wrestling game history. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game have been slightly updated visually, but the next-gen consoles have undergone wholesale changes and upgrades.
Add in improvements to the match types like Steel Cage and Hell in a Cell, and those with next-gen consoles would be smart to wait the extra few weeks before purchasing the game.
For those who don’t have next-gen consoles, it may be time to make the commitment.
