Liverpool Transfer News and Rumours Tracker: Week of October 20

There has been little movement as far as Liverpool and the transfer market are concerned in this last week, which is to be expected at this time of year.

Whilst the Reds have found ways to win in their last two Premier League games against West Brom and Queens Park Rangers, there are certainly frailties and problems holding them back from being the complete package.

Having been linked with a move to Liverpool since the summer's transfer deadline day, as per Anthony Chapman of the Daily Express, free agent and former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes' Anfield switch may be drawing closer.

Alex Miller of This Is Anfield reports that Valdes’ agent, Gines Carvajal, is due on Merseyside this week to complete a deal.

However, Spanish newspaper AS claim Rodgers has told them Liverpool have no interest in signing 32-year-old Valdes, as per 101 Great Goals.

Should Valdes' move to Liverpool fail to materialise, they may already be eyeing up another Spanish goalkeeper.

Metro report that Kiko Casilla is a "top target" for Liverpool. Quotes to AS recently suggest the 28-year-old could be sold by Espanyol in January:
