Jay Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery's Post-Week 7 Fantasy Reaction
A rough game by Jay Cutler against the Miami Dolphins led to a disappointing day for everyone involved in the Chicago Bears passing game.
The quarterback was under pressure for a lot of the game and struggled to move the ball consistently. This was bad news for Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery, two elite receivers who are dependent on Cutler.
Here is a breakdown of the team's stars in the passing game in Week 7:

Aside from Matt Forte, no one really had a good game offensively for the Bears, as they lost 27-14 at home. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune summed up arguably the worst play for Chicago:
When Cutler cannot get going, it makes it difficult for either Marshall or Jeffery to have good performances. The duo combined for 17 targets but were only able to bring in eight receptions.
This bad outing was even more disappointing when you consider the favorable matchup, as noted by Chris Towers of CBS Sports:
The good news for both players is that they are likely to remain big parts of the offense going forward. They are still two of the best receivers in the league, and they will have more good days than bad ones for the rest of the year.
It would be better to stay the course with both of them instead of panicking and trying to trade either Marshall or Jeffery.
The same could be said about Cutler, although he is far from one of the best at his position. He is certainly inconsistent, but he has great weapons around him and enough talent to have some big games against weaker competition. When he has favorable matchups, feel confident putting him in your lineup.
All you have to do is hope no other games go as poorly as this one.
