Columbus..(( we have a problem))
O-H-I-Oooooooooo Noooooo, Every year Ohio State fans look for a new team to run out of the tunnel and fix the problem's that had hurt them the year before, only to have it be repeated again, and again, which is really hard for any Buckeye fan to watch.
Believe me I know I'm a Michigan fan I've seen this movie before hoping to win the biggest games only to come up short was always something you knew was going to happen.
Losing big games had started to become the norm in Ann Arbor, So when I see the Buckeyes losing back to back title games it kinda brings back something that I was used to watching and wounder what does this all mean?
Jim Tressel is 3-3 in BCS games Only one of those wins came against a winning team Miami, the rest were Kansas State, and Notre dame, both were average at best. So ask your self was Ohio State really good or just lucky?
Lloyd Carr had a winning bowl record in his first few years at Michigan, and had beat the Buckeyes 5, out of the 7, years but that all came to an end once the 90's drew to a close and the new age of college football had arrived.
As this Decade comes to a end so will the Buckeyes run of dominating a weak Big Ten conference. Just as Carr's teams started to be left behind at the end of the 90's so will Jim Tressel's teams, It has already started losing 3 straight BCS games.
As teams change & upgrade there thinking about playing the game, Jim Tressel is sticking to what got him to Columbus and that is what happen Lloyd Carr believing that when times get tough you could always go backward and not forward.
Both Jim Tressel & Lloyd Carr are similar in style they both like to play a tough brand of football, But are both stubborn, coaches and don't always like to change and that is the biggest mistake a coach can make is not to adapt to the times, that was the down fall of Lloyd Carr and it seems to be the way where Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes are headed.
Few more losses in big games & the coming of a young & fast Michigan team could spell bad things to come for Ohio State which is why the new Decade will belong to Michigan.
