Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, Hakeem Nicks' Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 7

R. Cory SmithOct 19, 2014

The Indianapolis Colts like to pass the ball. Each week, fantasy owners are left to ponder who will be on the receiving end of those passes.

Facing a stout Cincinnati Bengals defense, Andrew Luck was still able to find success with his plethora of receivers. Fantasy owners of T.Y. Hilton were certainly happy, but Reggie Wayne and Hakeem Nicks couldn't get any rhythm going.

Hilton's explosion against the Bengals comes a week after he destroyed the Houston Texans for 223 yards and his first touchdown of the year. Both running backs would fumble to end two first-half drives against the Bengals, but Hilton was still a huge weapon.

If the question wasn't already answered, Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star offered his take on the No. 1 receiver for Indy:

Outside of Hilton, Wayne and Nicks were barely in the offensive game plan. Neither player has put up consistent numbers this season and can't be trusted as a top wide receiver at this point.

Wayne's three games of 75 yards or more coming into Week 7 proves he is still a viable option for WR2 or a flex position. But with Nicks still serving as the third receiver, he simply doesn't have much fantasy value without an injury occurring.

Hilton remains the receiver to own with Wayne a distant second for the time being. Heading into matchups against the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants, don't expect this passing game to slow down anytime soon.
