Portland Blazers Make Andre Miller an Offer He Can't Refuse
It looks like the rumors have come to fruition—the Blazers have offered Andre Miller a three-year deal worth as much as $21 million, according to Chad Ford of ESPN.
The third year is a team option. It appears as though talks have broken down with the Sixers, as they pulled their one-year offer earlier. The only other team really in the mix is New York, and who knows how interested they are in Miller's services.
I discussed it a few days ago, but ultimately this is a positive move. I mean, what other options do we have right now? A lot of the summer hopes and dreams disappeared as free agent after free agent signed with other organizations.
So what do you think?
I for one am happy about it.
Andre Miller brings a veteran presence, extreme diming abilities, and overall he is a good fit.
Forget about his three-point shooting. That is not important. He will find the open shooters and make this team better.
His age is in question, but he's only guaranteed two years in Portland. I think there might be another trade down the line but this deal works for me!
UPDATE: Marc Spears of Yahoo!Sports says that Andre Miller will accept the deal. A source close to the situation says Miller will take the $22 million deal(updated).
Pritchard is saying the deal isn't done yet but it sounds like it's only a matter of time.
