Barcelona head into El Clasico week still dealing with various transfer rumours.

Agents and players alike will no doubt be looking to secure the best deal possible, whether that's with the Catalans or elsewhere.

After an incredibly successful start to the La Liga season, Luis Enrique could do without his players' heads being turned at this important time but such is the nature of the business.

Manchester United are ready to bid £20 for Gerard Pique.

Gerard Pique could be about to re-sign for Manchester United if recent rumours are true.

Jeremy Cross of the Daily Star notes Pique as saying:

You never know what the future holds, but right now, I love this city, I love the people in the club, and most importantly, I love the institution.

I don't see myself leaving.

"

However a club source for the Red Devils is also quoted:

The manager knows he still needs to strengthen his defence and he would love to sign Pique.

He is a former United player so he knows the club and Pique is a player he can build his defence around.

"

Given Pique's poor form of late, a change may be beneficial for all parties.

Dani Alves

Dani Alves has signed a preliminary contract elsewhere.

Dani Alves will be moving to England on a free transfer at the end of the season.

According to FIFA agent Francois Gallardo, via Colin Harvey of the Daily Star, the player "will leave Barcelona next season. He has signed a preliminary agreement with Manchester United."

Thirty-one years of age by the conclusion of this campaign, it seems the Catalans are ready to cut ties with a player whose best days are probably behind him.

The race to sign Juan Cuadrado is beginning again in earnest.

Despite still being under the constraints of a transfer ban imposed by FIFA, it would seem Barca are still positioning themselves in the market to be ready to purchase certain players.

According to Mundo Deportivo, via Football Italia, on the basis that Barca have a successful appeal to overturn the ruling, they wish to sign Fiorentina's Juan Cuadrado as a replacement for the outgoing Dani Alves.
