Eric Decker Injury: Updates on Jets Star's Knee and Return
New York Jets wide receiver Eric Decker suffered a knee injury in the team's Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts, which forced him to miss the Week 3 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Jets announced he is active for Week 4 against the Miami Dolphins in London despite originally listing him as questionable.

Decker Comments on Injury
Tuesday, Sept. 22
"I landed goofy on it," Decker said on Sept. 21 via Newsday's Kimberley Martin. "[The defender] landed on top of me, so I hit my knee and then, obviously, the pressure as well from him landing on me."
"I actually came to the sideline and I didn't feel anything," Decker said, via Martin. "And then I tried to run and to just kind of hurt. I pulled myself out."
Examining Decker's Importance to the Jets
Wide receiver has been a problem position for the Jets. They signed Decker last year to upgrade the group, and he largely succeeded with 962 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 15 games.
This year, the Jets added a legitimate No. 1 receiver in Brandon Marshall. Decker's role on the team won't decrease, though that depends on whether he remains healthy. The 28-year-old missed one game last season and played 48 straight games between 2011 and 2013.
Decker is going to be instrumental for the Jets if they want to nab a playoff spot in the competitive AFC East. He's never been prone to injuries before, so the team will be hoping this is just a blip on the radar.
