Rafa's Leadership Defines the Reds

Can Liverpool win the title after so many years without one? 

I believe it all depends on one factor, and that is Rafa Benitez.  Since Rafa became Liverpool manager, he has reached the Champions league final twice, once winning.  They have also won the FA Cup. 

Since Benitez became manger he has shown that he cares about European Competition in addition to, if not more than, the English Premiership. 

In previous seasons he has consistantly picked a weaker squad for a Premiership game just prior to a Champions League match. He did this so much so the year they won the Champions League, Liverpool did not finnish in the top 4 of the Premiership. 

Benitez has said publicly that he wants to win the Premiership this year and that is priority number 1.  He has brought in a number of new players, spending a fortune.  Liverpool have started the season well and are unbeaten at the moment.  Their last Premiership match was against Portsmouth, which ended in a 0-0 Draw.

My concern is this was the game prior to a Champions League match.  I would like to see Liverpool play there best squad at all times, I am not a fan of this rotation system, but accept that he does know what he is doing. 

Another concern is the shortage of English-born players in the squad. Can a non-Englishman really play his heart out for a competition he does not have a passion.  I believe the only way Liverpool can win this years premiership is if they only concentrate on the premiership, and what ever happens in other competitions happens. 

Benitez, the choice is yours again, please make the right one.
