Cavaliers vs. Pacers: Live Score and Highlights from 2014 NBA Preseason
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Indiana Pacers 98-93 in their preseason matchup Tuesday to improve to 4-0 overall.
Playing the game from the Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, the Cavs were led by a familiar face.
LeBron James was excellent during his time on the court, registering 26 points, four rebounds and three assists in just under 24 minutes of play. He was aggressive from the start, scoring on cuts to the basket, fadeaway jumpers and even mixing in a sky hook for good measure.
Cleveland also got 14 points a piece from Matthew Dellavedova and A.J. Price, both of whom played good minutes with Kyrie Irving continuing to nurse a sore right ankle.
Kevin Love started at power forward, but did not play the second half after suffering a neck injury during the second quarter. While it's believed the injury isn't serious, Love will likely miss the Cavs' next game Friday against the Dallas Mavericks.
Chris Copeland led the Pacers in scoring with 16 points off the bench, while former Xavier star David West chipped in 15 points and five rebounds for Indiana.
Without injured star Paul George, the Pacers' offense sputtered for much of the game. Indiana shot just 40 percent from the field, including 27.8 percent from three.
The Cavs finished at 44 percent as a team, led by James' 9-of-12 shooting effort.
Cleveland will host Dallas on Friday before the Mavericks travel to Indiana on Saturday, marking the Pacers next game.
