Analyzing Best Booking Options for Potential Feud Between Triple H and the Rock
Triple H and The Rock recently had a backstage confrontation on Friday Night SmackDown. The spot came on the October 10 episode, and it was the highlight of the program for many fans.
It also has many fans debating whether or not these two legends should face off at WrestleMania 31 in 2015.
The segment was one of the most entertaining that fans have seen in a long time on SmackDown. And while we could see these two work at Mania, the question is this: What are the best booking options in this potential rivalry?

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
The segment seemed to come out of nowhere, and once it began, fans probably did not know what to expect.
After all, Hunter is the leader of The Authority, WWE's corporate heel faction. Flanked by Seth Rollins, Kane, Randy Orton and of course Stephanie McMahon, Triple H has ruled the company with an iron fist for over a year now.

Anyone that crosses The Authority pays the price, and there is no reason to believe that would not include The People's Champ. But The Rock walked straight into Hunter's office anyway and began to reminisce about old times. That walk down memory lane could lead them to a future rivalry.
This is perhaps the most obvious way for WWE to book this feud. The fact is that nostalgia can go a long way to getting this renewed rivalry over with fans that were maybe hoping for something new and a bit fresher from each man for WrestleMania 31.
The Attitude Era is perhaps the most beloved time in WWE history. Fans from all over the world marveled at the Monday Night Wars and the memorable battles that it produced between WWE and WCW. McMahon's company ultimately prevailed, and it was thanks in large part to stars like The Rock and Triple H.
This feud could be marketed on that nostalgia effect, sold to fans as a celebration of the company's good old days. Seeing The Game and The Great One in the ring at WrestleMania would bring all of that back for fans, and it would provide a great Mania moment for years to come.
Seeing the match end with a handshake born out of mutual respect would be the absolute best note to end on.
But this may not be the route that WWE goes, of course. After all, this is a case of two polar opposites, two Superstars whose characters could not be more different. And right now, those characters are on much different wavelengths.
The Rock is the protagonist, one of the strongest that WWE has ever seen. He is able to hold the crowd in the palm of his hand during a promo, and he has arguably never been more popular. Triple H is the antagonist, one of the best heels that fans have ever known. He is able to make the fans hate him with both his words and his actions.

That includes his current stint with The Authority. But eventually, The Authority will fall. Will The Rock be the man to facilitate that end?
This match could be about The Rock taking WWE back for the people, to give them and the locker room freedom from Hunter's group. A WrestleMania loss could mean the ride of The Authority is over, and WWE will turn a corner with a new primary storyline.
The Rock is the man that could make that happen.
The third option could take fans in an unexpected direction entirely. Playing off the idea of mutual respect between both men, this bout could end with not only a handshake but a subsequent face turn for The Game.
Fans believe The Authority will fall, and that may be the case. But if not, it could implode, and that could come because Triple H decides to change his way of doing business. Facing The Rock in such a throwback match at Mania would certainly put Hunter back in the crowd's good graces, and that could lead to a character change.
This would change the tone of WWE's main storyline, and it would mean the days of oppression are over. It would cast Triple H in a new light, and all of that would come as a result of facing The Rock at WrestleMania.
Despite what WWE chooses to do with this potential rivalry, the fact is that Triple H vs. The Rock would definitely be a huge main event match, the end of which could have ramifications on the company for quite some time.
