The Cincinnati Bengals have reportedly signed wide receiver Greg Little as they continue to seek additional weapons for the passing game while awaiting the return of A.J. Green. The team announced the signing on Tuesday:

Little was drafted in the second round of the 2011 NFL draft by the division rival Cleveland Browns. He caught 155 passes for over 1,800 yards and eight touchdowns over three seasons. The Oakland Raiders claimed him off waivers earlier in the offseason, but let him go in August.

He's nothing more than a depth option. He'll slide in the pecking order somewhere behind Mohamed Sanu, Dane Sanzenbacher and Jermaine Gresham while the team awaits word on Green and Marvin Jones. If he can avoid the consistent drop issues he had in Cleveland, he can provide some short-term relief.

Little will likely have to showcase some playmaking upside to stick around once the receiver group gets back to full strength, though.
