San Francisco 49ers vs. St. Louis Rams: Live Score and Analysis for St. Louis
The St. Louis Rams (1-4) coughed up an early lead and suffered a devastating 31-17 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers (4-2).
Austin Davis and the Rams had all of the momentum through the first two quarters, until an 80-yard touchdown catch by San Francisco's Brandon Lloyd to close the half tipped the scales. The 49ers went on to score 24 unanswered points by the end of the third quarter and never looked back.
Colin Kaepernick shredded the St. Louis secondary for 343 yards and three touchdowns—both season-high numbers for the San Francisco quarterback.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Adding to the frustration is the fact that St. Louis once again failed to record a sack. The defensive line was built to be one of the most fierce in football this season, but the group has just one sack in five games. Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams utilized a number of blitzes and stunts, but to no avail.
For the third week in a row, Rams quarterback Davis had a shot at a game-winning drive in the final minutes, but the St. Louis offense came up short for a third-consecutive time.
The Rams have been incapable of producing two solid halves in a single game this season, and St. Louis will continue to lose until head coach Jeff Fisher can get better consistency out of his young players.
Unfortunately, it won't get any easier for St. Louis. The Rams will host the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks next week, and the team will travel to Kansas City the week after to take on a tough Kansas City Chiefs team.
As for the 49ers, they'll travel to Denver a week from now to take on Peyton Manning and the Broncos.
Thank you for following along, and be sure to stop by next week.
