WWE Raw: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for October 13

Ryan DilbertOct 13, 2014

Reality television is set to invade the Oct. 13 edition of WWE Raw.

Stars from Chrisley Knows Best and The Real Housewives of Atlanta make their way onto WWE's premier show. The world heavyweight champ won't follow suit.

As noted by WrestlingInc.com, Brock Lesnar is not advertised to appear on the show.

Monday Night RAW

Fans inside the Philips Arena in Atlanta may, however, see some surprise faces burst through the curtain. A Hall of Famer, a former general manager and perhaps some NXT standouts will make their way onto the show.

Monday's Raw is sure to showcase more animosity between Dean Ambrose and John Cena. It will also feature Big Show vs. Rusev. It all happens in a city Lana is clearly not a fan of:

Backstage reports, James Wortman's five-point preview on WWE.com and hints from recent programming provide a good idea of what to expect in Georgia.

Special Guests

A week after welcoming Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford to Raw, WWE is set to bring aboard some other celebrities who are odd fits in the pro wrestling landscape.

NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta is scheduled for Monday's show. WWE announced her appearance on its official website.

Leakes has also had roles on Glee and The New Normal. It will be interesting to see if the Atlanta crowd will cheer for her because of her ties to that city or if she will get the same treatment Hoda and Kathie Lee received—passionate booing.

The reality TV star won't be the only outsider entering the WWE world. Todd Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best will be in the building as well.

The Chrisley Knows Best Twitter account noted that his sons will join him:

It's hard to know what to expect from these guests, but one should keep expectations low. The track record for such appearances isn't great. On the blog, Jim Ross called the Hoda and Kathie Lee segment last week "uncomfortable to watch."

News, Potential Spoilers

Monday's Raw may see the return of Brad Maddox. Fans haven't seen him around for months, but he popped up at a house show over the weekend.

Per PWInsider.com, Maddox competed in two matches at the Oct. 11 live event in Macon, Georgia. That could have been a warm-up before he heads back to TV.

In a Vine posted by WWE, Maddox refused to explain why he was back:

A much bigger name is likely to be in Atlanta as well. Ric Flair told Hart Beat Radio (h/t Wrestle Zone) that he will be on Monday's Raw.

The Nature Boy was supposed to be a part of WWE programming a few weeks ago but had to undergo surgery, per WWE.com.

NXT fans will be hoping Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn get a chance in front of the cameras along with all the guests on tap for Monday's Raw. The NXT stars continue to travel and work with the main roster talent but not on Raw.

As reported by PWTorch.com, Neville and Zayn worked a house show in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, over the weekend. The NXT Twitter account shared an image of them in action:

The pattern over the last few weeks has been that those wrestlers will be on the sidelines for Raw, work a dark match during the SmackDown tapings but not compete on Raw. Fans of the two athletic marvels want to see that pattern change.

On to Hell in a Cell

Big Show and Rusev were supposed to collide last week. Instead, The Bulgarian Brute got a taste of what The Rock was cooking.

Rusev is now set to get his opportunity against The World's Largest Athlete, per WWE.com.

This seemed like a match the company was saving for Hell in a Cell. If Rusev dominates here, chances are we don't see them battle at the pay-per-view. Any kind of screwy finish or no-contest is a sure sign of their next go-round making it to the Hell in a Cell card.

WWE has also been hinting at Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro battling at the upcoming pay-per-view. During Ziggler's win over Bo Dallas on last week's Main Event, Cesaro provided commentary and promised to become the next intercontinental champion.

Monday's Raw could see Ziggler vs. Cesaro for Hell in a Cell go official. The event has just two bouts on the docket and is only two weeks away.

The feud surrounding the Divas Championship is set to get some attention too.

On last week's SmackDown, Paige and Alicia Fox tried to ambush AJ Lee. The Divas titleholder kicked her way out of trouble and left her foes keeled over in pain.

In the WWE.com preview, Wortman hints that this will lead to another attack: "Expect a response to what went down on SmackDown as Paige continues to covet the Divas Title."

The marquee storyline will continue to be Ambrose and Cena's pursuit of Seth Rollins.

The two fan favorites will square off in a No Holds Barred match at Hell in a Cell with the victor earning the right to face Rollins inside The Devil's Playground. Tension between Cena and Ambrose grew on last week's SmackDown and should grow more intense on Monday's Raw.

After a Miz TV segment turned ugly for The Miz, Cena attacked Ambrose with an Attitude Adjustment.

Ambrose isn't the type of guy to just shrug that off. Count on The Lunatic Fringe responding in a big way. Wortman hints at that when he asks, "With emotions running high, will Cena and Ambrose continue their game of one-upsmanship on Raw?"

For the past few weeks, Ambrose has been one of Raw's highlights. He'll look to keep that run going on a night that promises to be a weird one.
