Philly.com's Les Bowen provides an update on Darren Sproles' injury:
"I thought it was bad . . . that's why I was kind of mad about it," Sproles said yesterday, after his surprise return to practice, as the Eagles returned from their bye week. "My foot just kinda got caught a little bit, when I got rolled back. It was clean, I guess . . . When I was on the field, the way my knee was moving [the joint felt loose], they thought it was bad. But it wasn't."

Does he think he can play in Arizona Sunday?
"The way I'm feeling, yeah," Sproles said. "But it's up to the coach." Sproles also said he wants to get in a full, real practice today and see how his knee responds. He said he has never worn a brace before.
"
Tim McManus of PhillyMag.com had more from Eagles practice on Thursday:
"Mychal Kendricks and Darren Sproles were listed as limited participants for the second straight day Thursday.

There have been no indications that Matthew Tucker will be called up from the practice squad. One teammate we talked to expects Sproles to be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Polk will be the primary backup and Trey Burton will be the emergency back as he was against the Giants.

Sproles was moving pretty well. He did some running and cutting at about half-speed and ran routes. Other than a little flexing of his left leg in-between plays, he seemed OK.

Versatile Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles had to leave Sunday's game against the New York Giants with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter. Per Adam Caplan of ESPN, Sproles injured his left knee and his return status was listed as questionable:
A later observation from Sports Illustrated's Doug Farrar, who referenced NBC's Michele Tafoya's sideline report, made the outlook seem grim:
After the game, Geoff Mosher of CSN Philly provided an update:
The 31-year-old veteran left the field under his own power but had to be taken to the locker room for further examination.
Sproles' injury wound up being one of the few dark spots in a huge win over a division rival. At the time of the injury, the Eagles held a commanding 27-0 edge, which was ultimately the final score, and Sproles had already played a role in building the lead.
He rushed the ball seven times for 39 yards and found the end zone on a 15-yard run that gave his team the 27-point advantage.
If Sproles is forced to miss extended time, the Eagles will have lost their secondary rusher behind feature back LeSean McCoy. So far this season, Sproles has rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns on just 32 attempts, an average of 6.6 yards per carry. He also has 16 receptions for another 198 yards.
Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
