Matt Ryan's, Julio Jones', Roddy White's Instant Fantasy Reaction After Week 6

Brian MaziqueOct 12, 2014

If your fantasy league penalizes for drops, the Atlanta Falcons' Julio Jones and Roddy White are the last wide receivers you would've wanted to have Sunday. In a matchup against a mangled Chicago Bears secondary, White and Jones played as if they were going against the Legion of Boom.

Chicago prevailed in the game 27-13, as White and Jones had one of their worst statistical performances of the season.

Dropping passes and hearing footsteps were commonplace, and it played a part Sunday in Atlanta's loss to the Bears. Collectively, Falcons receivers had seven dropped passes. The mishaps cost Matt Ryan some passing yards and touchdowns, which in turn cost his fantasy owners points.

Who's mad at Roddy and Julio?

This was one of those games that exhibits why it's pretty tough to predict fantasy football studs each week. With injuries to several members of the Bears defense, it would have seemed that any of the Falcons' key offensive players would have been great choices to start and shine.

That's why they play the games.

The Bears didn't force any turnovers, but the defense produced three sacks and an interception. The Bears defense held Atlanta under 300 total yards. Ryan did manage to eclipse the 200-yard mark. He also threw a touchdown pass, but it's not what many expected from him.

Atlanta will face the Baltimore Ravens on the road in Week 7. Perhaps this trio will have a better performance in B-More.
